Let freedom ring

HAPPY JULY 4TH!!

I'm so happy the sun finally decided to make an appearance today. I got home from a fun mini road trip to Canton yesterday with Jennifer. If you've never been, you are missing out! Sooo much neat stuff! Crafts, home decor, baby boutiques galore, etc. We shopped till we dropped to say the least. Some items I snatched:  cutest baby boxers for Kelly's soon to be son, a Texas Longhorn (grr) sign for Nick's 'man cave', 2 shirts, a dress, TONS of jewelry, scentsy scents, a pretty lantern for outside, some books for my classroom, whew! I'm sure there are a couple more items not mentioned. It was a blast! We went for two whole days and didn't even scour through half of it. There are vendors and tents set up at 5 different locations. We made 2 of them. I cannot wait to go back and stay in a bed and breakfast and make a 3 day weekend of it.

We got up today and went to church. The sun was a (surprising) and wonderful thing to wake up to. We started going to Preston Trail Community Church and absolutely love it! Bonus - it's a mile down the road from our neighborhood. So wonderful. Today the pastor talked about independence day, our nations's freedoms and heroes. I have so much to be blessed and thankful for in my life.
Some things I am thankful for:

~My Savior, Jesus Christ. HE forgives me, imperfections and all, and loves me unconditionally.
~My family. Always there for me, through the good, bad and silly decisions I sometimes make.
~Nicholas. I don't have a doubt in my mind God brought him into my world at a trying time in my life. I love you baby :)
~My amazing friends. Love each and every one of them and miss em dearly.
~My precious fur babies. They are a pain in my neck at times, but put smiles and energy into my life :)
~My job. Actually, it's not a job. I love what I do and love that I can make a difference in someone's life.
The preacher today asked, do YOU think you make a difference on a daily basis and consider yourself a hero?  I do. Every single day. I love that. It is the greatest joy in the world.

Many people might not even read this thing, but if you do, out of boredom or pure entertainment, reflect on what you are thankful for and have a wonderful and safe 4th of July! I'm off to make my famous (not really) favorite buffalo chicken dip. We are going to have a great time at a friends house for the day.

~LOVE~
